Hi, Since i am delivering my gpu back due intensive coil whine (780 Classified, overclocks like a charm though) I am looking at the asus 780Ti, Its at sale to 100$ cheaper than before. (NB: Prices in Norway er really high compared to U.S)

780 Classy = 750$ + 150$ for add on for the Ti =900$.
The card cost about 1000 +/- in the differents shops. So i`ts 100$ cheaper.

My specs: CPU: I7 4770K @4.4ghz (delidded) GPU: Evga 780 Classified @1200/1625mhz (RMA) PSU: Evga Supernova NEX 750G Storage: Samsung Evo 250gb RAM: Kingstone HyperX 2x4 1600Mhz Cpu cooling: Corsair H100i Case: Corsair 650D

I can also just keep the card. It will not go under water though :)

My reference PNY GTX 780 was having few issues, so they refunded me, now im also looking for a 780 Ti and tbh the only advantage the Asus 1 has over the others its the warranty, the cooler isnt that great. im trying myself to decide either with Gigabyte or MSI non-reference ones

I never liked ASUS cooling solutions. Yes they are quiet but they don't OC well and aren't the coolest ones out there. I prefer Gigabyte because it OCs well and its nice and quiet and cools just as well. It's not fully aesthetically pleasing but it gets the job done. EVGA and MSI also do a great job. I belive MSI is the loudest but cools the most efficiently. EVGA is in the middle with having stellar warranty services

I like Asus. anyway, Msi is not a option. I think Msi is cheap. The cooler for the 780Ti is pretty good iverread from reviews. 69-72¤C and still quiet. They Oc to about 1300/1350mhz under water. with a good amount of voltage. So is it worth spending 100$ more to get Evga refrence design (ACX cooler but refrence board)? the Asus one has a uppgraded pcb. So a non-refrence.

I have heard that Gigabyte and Msi are using cheap part for their fans. Can anyone confirm this?

MSI is a pretty top notch company when it comes to quality which I'm sure alot of people can say. Gigabyte may not look top quality but their products perform top quality and I can speak for that since I own one.

MSI is also good however gigabyte isn't very good in my opinion.

I had a windforce gtx 670 and I will never buy any more gigabyte video cards or Motherboards again.

I'm disappointed with their quality control.
Gigabyte make decent motherboards in my opinion however I like Asus better.

I know many people that have problems with Gigabyte however sometimes people get lucky and get a decent card.

Asus have more conservative out of box overclocks and simple software however they are the highest quality in my opinion for as long as I can remember.

MSI make decent cards and After burner is more comprehensive software than GPU Tweak however I believe GPU tweak is more stable.

For example I had to close afterburner to play wolfeinstein because it made the game unstable.

No problems with GPU tweak however it doesn't have as many features.

Asus & MSI have a bigger market share in the graphics industry than gigabyte.

Gigabyte has problems with artifacts on stock and so on. Msi i dont like. Have cost me 300$ on my last mobo.
Asus, Evga and Sapphire is some of the brands that i really like :)

well this Asus card is kinda bad imo, i mean, it consumes much more power than other cards (2x 8pin) and overclocks the same or worst than the others, also the cooling is slightly worst than windforce and twin frozr, and its more expensive, the only 2 good things i see in it is the 1 year extra warranty and the "asus quality"

Have you ever owned an Asus gpu?

who told you that Asus cards use more power?
" Just because the Asus uses 2x 8 pins doesn't mean it uses more power out of the box"

who told you that Asus cards have a longer warranty?

In my country (norway) We have 5years warranty. But it dosent use 375watt, Even though it has 2x8pin. The the kingpin woud around 450watt just becsause it has 3x4pin ;)

about the Oc, My buddy who has 2 under water. he have them on 1300mhz on 1.24V. The cooling is quiter than windforce, But maybe higher? The directcu is about 69-72¤C ive read on some reviews.

The twin froz is actully better in cooling. (i think) But i dont like brown-ish pcb. and i dont like the company either.

The windforzw cost 100$ more, And msi 50$. Is it worth it then? a evga card cost about 150$ more.

But keep posting comments. I am not quite sure what to choose :)

not all asus cards, but this particular asus 780ti card consumes a bit more power vs the other 780 ti's with 6+8 pin connectors, you can see that in 780 ti round up reviews. http://hothardware.com/Reviews/ASUS-GeForce-GTX-780-Ti-...!YzU77 (gigabyte card is the GHz edition)
About the warranty as far as i know their minimum is 3 years while Msi, gigabyte etc is 2 years only

June 13, 2014 6:14:37 PM

A bit more power isn't a problem!

I not sure how reliable this website .

In north America I think the standard is 3 years for most video card vendors.

I can get a 780Ti Classified used for about 100$ cheaper than the other(s) a bonus is that i know the seller.

If will take the Classy. Love the damn card. The classy drwa(s) 370watt on stock. So that is actully a small problem. Since i only have a 750Watt from eVGA. (eVGA 750g nex)

The card is far superior from the others. next year it will be under water.

Than you for you help.

You power supply more than enough power for the 780 ti classified, you have nothing to worry about.

You're welcome! Enjoy your new card and let us know what you think!
