Dear all,

Need a life's advice. I'm having a choice between two systems. The thing is that i'm not a hardcore gamer, and I don't often rush for Ultra settings, but i still would like to play from time to time on a 42inch TV with a nice picture. So what would you suggest to take from the following to combinations?

FX 8350 163
RADEON R9 280x 269
Mobo: Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 104
Corsair Vengeance Black 8GB 74
Toshiba HDD 45
SSD Kingston 58
Seasonic M12II-EVO620 620W 70
Zalman Z11 PLUS 72
Asus DRW-24F1ST/BLK/B/AS 13
HYPER 212 EVO 28
Arctic MX-2 Thermal Grease 5
Monitor: Benq XL2411Z 256
Total Cost 1160 EUR

OR

AMD Athlon X4 760k 69
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 155
MOBO: Asus A88X-PLUS 72
Corsair Vengeance Black 8GB 74
Toshiba HDD 45

Seasonic S12II-520 520W 80 Plus Bronze 67
Aerocool case ATX PGS STRIKE-X 33
Asus DRW-24F1ST/BLK/B/AS 13

Arctic MX-2 Thermal Grease 5
Monitor: Asus VS247N 144
Total Cost 680 EUR

As you see, the 1st combination is about the double price of the 1st one, therefore i'm thinking is it reasonable to take the 1st combination, even though it has a better performance, considering that I do not game that much?

I would go with the top system, for it's superior CPU & GPU.

But is they're any flexibility with the parts ?

For example, you could save yourself quite a bit by going with the FX 8320, that is just a slightly down clocked FX 8350.

all in all, I've screwed these two builds and went for the following:

Intel Core i7-4790
GTX 770 4 gb
Asrock Fatal1ty H97 Performance
Corsair Vengeance Black 8GB
Toshiba HDD
SSD Kingston
Seasonic M12II-EVO620 620W
Zalman Z11 PLUS
Asus DRW-24F1ST/BLK/B/AS
HYPER 212 EVO

:D what to say... If we aim for gaming pleasure, let us maximize it from our budget :D

Not a hard core gamer hey :ouch: That's pretty impressive, as future proof as you could make it really, just upgrade the GPU in a few years if your needs desire.

Alright, sounds good to me.

Got lucky and bought a 4 month old GTX 780 for the same price as GTX 770, now i'm really happy :)

The first option is much better, it will last for much longer without the need of upgrading since you are not a gamer.
