Hello!

It's about time for me to upgrade my AMD rig from 2008, it just can't keep up with modern games at the settings I'd like to run. I will be building a completely new system. I'd like to be able to run games at max settings for at least a couple years. Please see this pcpartpicker list:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/dYM3mG

Basically, Fractal Design Define R4 Black Pearl Mid Tower Silent PC Computer Case, GIGABYTE GA-G1.Sniper Z97 mobo, i7-4790K CPU, Noctua NH-D15 Cooler (leaning towards air cooling over water for acoustic reasons but please feel free to make suggestions),
G.SKILL Trident X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 1866 (PC3 14900), XFX XTR Series P1-650B-BEFX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular PSU,
EVGA 03G-P4-2884-KR GeForce GTX 780 Ti Superclocked 3GB ACX Cooler, Samsung 840 EVO 500 TB.

I'm considering this monitor...

Perfect Pixel 27" QNIX QX2710 2560x1440 QHD PLS Matte Panel Monitor

...and will try to OC it to 96+ Hz.

So the main concerns I have would be, is the EVGA 780 ti 6GB worth waiting for? From what I've read it may come out this month or next... maybe? Am I foolish for not going with 2 GPUs (R9 290/290Xs, 780s, etc.)?

Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time!
