Response time or color quality?

I am looking for a new monitor for my new gaming computer. The guy who is helping me asked which one I rather would have. Which one you think is more important? I want a monitor with good color quality and response time, but I am not sure if that is possible. Which one in your guys opinion is better and why? Thanks!

Heavy gaming - response time. I haven't come across a new monitor in the last 2 years with color that was too crappy.

But if you're into graphic art and using a 1440p monitor, that'd be a different story.

So 1 m/s response time would be the best? I had a monitor chosen but it was 144hz so I didn't really need that great of hz

I would go for response time over color quality. As a fellow gamer, I low response time is helpful for a good gaming experience. A high response time will leave an undesirable experience as it will introduce a time delay from your mouse movement to when it will actually take effect on screen. Although, it really shouldn't be problem to get a good monitor with both good color and decent response times.

The build is basically OK. Though I'd prefer a few tweaks -

Change u5 4670k to i5 4690k
change to ASRock Z97 Extreme 4 per - http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/mainstream-gaming-z97-motherboard,3824.html
Change Corasir PSU to soemthing made by Sweasonic eg XFX 650, Antec HCG 620M, Seasonic 620

Change to ASUS VE248H
