Hi,

I just installed Transcend SSD340 64GB and ghosted existing HDD image to it (only 30GB is used in OS disk).

Now while booting up from SDD, XP reboots midway and asks for Safe Mode as expected. But even while booting in Safe Mode it reboots again. So I am stuck in this reboot loop. I have tried Fail-safe settings as well in system bios, but of no help. Please suggest if there is a known issue with ghosting HDD image to SSD using Norton ghost 9 (Yes, pretty old. Just trying to avoid rebuilding OS and installing all other apps, will take couple of weekends if I go that route.)

Below are the details of my comp:

i3 3.3Ghz
Gigabyte GA-H61M-D2H motherboard
4GB RAM

Thanks,
Sanjay Kumar

ok .. so I did some more search of the net and found EaseUS ToDo baackup tool which is free and has option to optimize for SSD while cloning from existing HDD. XP is working after closed to SSD using EaseUS Todo.

Thanks,
