I installed more, new ram...cleaned the dust inside etc.
Defragmented the drives, deleted cache, temp files, recycle bin etc.
Installed and setup Thunderbird, organized some file directories etc.
installed Avast setup an account for a year.
Optimized startup by getting rid of tasks etc.
Configured his current software to stop popups and getting in the way all the time etc.
Chose an assortment of Firefox addons to optimize his web browsing experience...
Also I made some backup DVDs...
The ram was 40 euro free shipping, which is about 55 dollars US. So that plus my work for it which took about 2~ hours or less. What is a good price to charge?
He knows it will be over 50 for the ram alone, I made this clear from the beginning. The retail value of his Dell was over 500 US Dollars a few years ago during the time of his purchase for it.
I do part-time software testing and have a Game Design background.
