I'm using a site called pcpartpicker.com to get a layout of what my computer's going to be. But I noticed in the reviews the motherboard I had picked out wasn't a true AM3+ board, whatever that means. So I just wanted to make sure this wouldn't pose a problem for my purposes (light to moderate gaming; also will be used for school) as well as get a second opinion on the build itself. This isn't a budget build, I'm picking the parts based on sheer performance then I'll save up to make it happen. There is one hindrance though, the build is based around the Rosewill Ranger-M MicroATX mini tower case because I already have it and I want to use it. With all that aside, here is what I have so far:

CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8 core processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 MicroATX AM3+ (or not?)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR3-1600
HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
+ Samsung EVO 120GB 2.5" SSD
Video Card: Asus GeForce GT 610 w/ 2GB Dedicated Memory
PSU: Corsair Builder 600w 80+ Bronze Certified ATX power supply
Optical: LG BH14S40 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD R/W
OS: Windows 7 Home Professional SP1 OEM 64-bit
Wireless Card: Asus PCE-N53 802.11a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1

Like I said, this will be my first REAL build, so I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing. If there are any better parts that I overlooked or if this whole build is, for whatever reason, unbalanced, please tell me. Also, I need a blue-tooth card, and a possibly a multi-card reader (or at least a reader for SD/Micro-SD). Thanks in advance. :D

If you can afford
EDIT: according to your new needs
Drop in a Broadwell CPU when the Pentium gets slow (shouldn't do so anytime soon, can tune up to 4.7 GHz if you're lucky)

No real budget, but I would like to keep it under $1,000 if I can, as this is like a trial thing. I'm still not sure how far into the PC-gaming world I'm gonna get (WoW for sure), so I don't really need an overpowered war-god of a machine, but rather a finely tuned beast of every day web surfing that can play the an intense game or two when the time comes. As for the RAM issue, I honestly don't see how one can have too much memory, but again, I'm new to this. I see from your list that picked a different tower, which is fine, except it is kind of fugly, also I'm not gonna buy another case when I already have one (even if it is tiny), that's just wasteful. And what is crossfire?

P.S. - I REFUSE to use Windows 8. I don't even acknowledge that garbage as a valid operating system.

Its 10-15 percent faster, and you can easilly make it look like win 7
Crossfire is running two AMD cards on the same system, for Nvidia it's SLI
Picking cases isn't exactly my specialty :)
You will probably never manage to use 16 GB in the near future
I have edited the system and am about to post it (as an update on the old post)

Two AMD cards? You mean like video cards? And your probably right about the RAM, I just like the way the Corsair cards look. :p
I should also mention that, in addition to whatever primary OS I settle on, I'll be using Steam OS whenever it drops. I don't have any newer PC games outside of what I have on Steam, and that list consists of Dust, GTA4, and San Andreas. I don't know how demanding these game are really (my laptop doesn't have too much trouble running them) but these titles are what I had in mind when I started putting this list together. I used my laptop's specs as a baseline and just picked parts that were a step up from those. And thanks for all your help and patience by the way. After reading it over again, my second message seems a little harsher that I meant it to be.
