Do you need to have a receipt for a warranty on an online purchase?

I have an Asus tablet that I purchased online from Walmart. I accidentally deleted the receipt on my email but still have the warranty. Do I need the receipt for the warranty?

If you no longer have your Walmart sales receipt, please contact customer care at 1-888-531-1897 and the Customer Care Representative will assist you.
