I am upgrading my video card from the 7660d integrated card (terrible I know) and don't know which card is better for gaming (overall). Here are the links.

They seem to be the same. Can anyone tell me the advantages of one over the other, or can anyone name a better card at $175 max.

Thanks!

The 270x is just a rebranded 7870. Get the one which is cheaper.
With the 270x you get 2 free games at 50$ more than the 7870. I think you can get a 280 for 199$:

But if u cannot afford more than 175$,then blindly buy the 7870.

How much better would the 280 be?

If the 7870 is listed at $105 right now, would it be worth it to go for the 280?

Also, would it bottleneck this card with an amd 5700 processor (I'm planning on upgrading processor within next year).
Thanks for all your help!

The A10 5700 would probably bottleneck the 280 but that depends on the games you are the playing. You can get the the above card(it's a nice one) but remember the bottleneck would be dependent on the games you are playing. I'd suggest you to O.C your cpu with an aftermarket cpu cooler like the CM Hyper 212EVO.
