My wife bought me a new Dell Inspiron 3847 desktop for Father's Day. I was wondering if the setup was sufficient for playing modern games and moderate video conversion/editing? I added more RAM, added a dedicated graphics card and switched out the power supply.

Motherboard: Dell
Processor: 4th Generation Intel Core i3 4150- 3.5Ghz 3MB L3 Cache
Memory: 12GB DDR3 1600Mhz- 2 DIMMS
Hard Drive: 1 TB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive
Graphics: PNY 1GB DDR5 128-bit Geforce GTX 650 PCI-e 3.0 x16 OC'd @1306Mhz(core),2808Mhz(memory) and 1075Mv(voltage). 41 degrees C idle, 42-44 degrees C load
Power Supply: Thermaltake TR-2 TR600 600W 72% efficiency

I also added 2 120MM Antec fans in addition to the 80mm stock cpu fan and psu fan. Any input and or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. I've only tested FFVII and the Steam version of FFVIII so far @ 1920x1080 resolution with 30-60FPS. My Windows Experience Index scores are all 7.6 across the board using Windows 7 x64 Ultimate.

it's a good budget pc, will handle the video editing fine, but depending your 'modern gaming' likings, the i3 (dual core) cpu may lack the juice for gaming on high settings. nearly all budget gaming systems go for atleast a core i5(quad core). Howver if it's not serious gaming, it's a nice little computer :)
