Hi,
I am searching for an information and I realize that I have no idea where to ask to get the best answer.
I am looking for a technology that would allow me to track the 3d position of very tiny markers with a very high precision.
I don't know what technology could fulfill my needs, but I am searching for both the marker technology and the tracking technology.
The use would be for complex medical surgery operations.
I heard about RFID chips that can be as thin as a rice pebble, and wireless, but i don't know how i could track their position accurately. I also don't know who could provide me with such a custom hardware, nor the price of those markers. I need to get some help on this, and hope you could help me, or lead me to someone who could, or to a more appropriate forum if this one is not the one I am looking for =)
This is a list of the specifications I need for my markers:

the markers have to be
- wireless
- self/wirelessly powered (like RFID tags for instance)
- very tiny (~1-3mm)
- relatively cost efficient (?)

the tracker must be:
- capable of covering a small area like the head of the patient, or the abdominal cavity
- capable of tracking with a very high precision (max 1mm precision loss) the position of the markers in 3D

I hope you can help me!

You need multiple camera angles on LEDs. The LEDs need to be different colors, and arranged in some 3D pattern.

LEDs do also come in UV and IR.
