Hi Guys,

I'm upgrading my system and since I am not up to date anymore with current developments I was wondering if one of you could confirm my build or inform me of incompatibilities.

Mainboard ASUS H87-PRO
PSU ATX 12V switching power supply 400 Watt (Do I need more?)
CPU Intel Core i7-4770
CPU-Fan Intel E41997-002 Fan-Cooler
RAM Geil 2GB PC3 CL DDR3 1333Mhz (2x)
GPU Radeon ATI 5770
HDD1 Seagate 2 TB
HDD2 Western Digital 2 TB

I heard I can still use this cooler for the new socket 1150. It used to be on my intel i3-530. Is that true?

thanks,

Luca

I know, its embarrassing, right? =P
I live in Germany. I only upgrade the the cpu for faster video and audio processing (rendering) and to get stable 300 fps in counterstrike.

I do not plan on upgrading RAM and GPU just now. Maybe in a few month.
I'm upgrading my CPU and MB only, from a i3-530 to a i7-4770.

Rendering relies heavily upon the amount of RAM you have. You'll need more than 4GB of RAM. Buying an i7 will do you little good unless you have enough RAM. 8GB is the baseline, with 16GB recommended. If you can't afford it then you could get an i5 and more RAM.
