Gaming Graphics Card Hunting. Specs, Price Range and want feedback

Looking for a new gaming graphics card since last one overheated when a fan failed I believe.

I got the jist of info needed to select one.. but I don't want to just buy something I have the 'jist' of... so I figure someone else with this experience could point out some options with confidence?...

Price Range: 150-200$

I've been playing at 1600x1200 on a CRT monitor.
It's actually a VGA plug.

I got a TV monitor as well but I'm not sure if it's an improvement to my own monitor... has VGA and a DVI as well as a number of component ports.

a gtx 750Ti with a good cooler is about $180-ish in Canada, so it will be perfect for you.
