hello,
i am considering buying an intel core i5 4670K. the stock speed is 3.4ghz, however i would like to overclock to 4.0 on stock voltages, if possible.

i have heard many different opinions that this cpu runs very hot, and others say it runs cool, or just a bit warm.

can anyone running this cpu, overclocked or not, enlighten me on hot or cool this processor actually runs? (i plan to buy a zalman CNPS9900 max cpu cooler)

thanks for any tips anybody can give me.

Wait for the i5 4690k, it releases on the 25th of this month. It will run cooler.

To answer your question though a 200MHz overclock (over the turbo 3.8) on the i5 4670k like you're looking to get will be more than achievable.
