Graphics card change and now Steam games don't load

I've recently changed my graphics card from a Geforce GT 610 to a Radeon X1950 XTX. (It was lying around and I wanted some extra graphics power until I purchase a new card). I uninstalled NVIDIA drivers normally and then using "Display Driver Uninstaller" in safe mode before installing Catalyst. Everything on my OS (Vista SP2 32bit) works fine but no games on steam work. Goat Simulator crashes on loading, Bioshock Infinite asks for hardware compatible with DX10 or 11 and Portal 2 has an invisible main menu. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks
