I was not able to get to the desktop and I reset my hp laptop pavillon dv6 using boot menu and created a backup in the external hard drive using the HP default recovery manager, after I got my laptop to factory state I open the recovered files in the computer and run the restore file in the folder. It restored all of my files into drive C under name /SystemRecoveryFiles. I can see the files in the folder, do I need to restore them using any software or I can just move them to the place where I want them to be. Some of the pics file contain file type as HPTSMSMVP.JPG. I don't know what is this. Can anyone Please help me?

You should be able to copy the files to the desired location. If you can open the files from the current location then you shouldn't need to use recovery software to restore the files.
