Hi,

Are you using the software that came with the adapter?
If that is the case i suggest you uninstall the software but keep the drivers and use the built in version to connect instead.

I downloaded the driver to my network adapter from asus' site, but all i got in the winrar archive was a lot of .dll, .sys and .cat files. What am i supposed to do with them?

Under the Device Manager in the Control Panel you should be able to see your adapter there with an yellow exclamation point.

If so is the case the drivers are not installed for it.
Then in the winrar package you might have a ".ini" file, Right click the adapter-> update driver-> choose from a specific path or similar-> find the .ini file from the winrar archieve and select it

I found out that my internet will connect after approx. 2 minutes after startup, but it's nothing that bothers me very much. Thanks for your concern anyways
