Let this be a cautionary tale to anyone plan to buy ASUS card in Egypt.

I bought and built a whole gaming PC from Ausu approved and authorized store (Asus TOP GTX 670, ASUS Sabertooth Z77, ASUS VH238H monitor) in Egypt called Maximum Hardware a year after normal usage of my ASUS TOP GTX 670 I find a graphic artifact happens after 5 minutes in any game and cause the game to crash and in window mode it give the message that driver crashed and has recovered.

First I blamed Nividia drivers,I tried uninstalling the graphic drivers and installing Nividia WHQL and still the problem persisted, then I formated my HDD, installed Windows 7 and Nividia driver from ASUS GTX 670 support page and I tested my RAM through memTest64 and I made sure that the problem was caused by the graphic card and nothing else.

I RMA card and after 11 working days when I called them they didn't fix it even after I asked them What the card problem, they didn't respond or explain what the cause of the problem.

They didn't even offer any replacement they said they going to refund me after calculating the deprecation from the card which is 4% per month since the date of purchase and apparently this is standard practice according to the guy, is that even true ?

I want my card to be repaired or send me a replacement not to refund me 98 USD from 378 USD.

I send E-mail to ASUS Egpyt & ASUS VIP serveice and still no answer and tried calling ASUS Egypt but all I hear is automated message and nobody picking up the line.

Why would you RMA the card back to the vendor instead of ASUS

Well, When you purchase something and discover it had manufacturing defect you go to the store where you bought from and they send the product to Technical support center (Which in ASUS case is ECS distribution).
To be clear the card isn't with the vendor but in ASUS authorized technical support and customer service center and I bought the card from also ASUS authorized and approved vendor.
