So I feel it is time to part ways with my 7870. It's been faithful but I need something high end.
I realize there's no such thing as "future proof" GPUs today but I want something that'll last me a good 2-3 years. I'm not willing to spend more than $700 on a card, that's just not happening. But obviously, the less I have to pay for the maximum value, the better.
I've been debating whether to get a 780, 780ti, r9 290, or an r9 290x. Which do you think is a more suitable upgrade, coupled with my current fx 8350?
P.S: I'd prefer a card that isn't crazy on heat...we're talking 90C warm.
