I'm 25 years old, I work at a Home Depot, I'm in school fighting for gen college classes so I can start working towards being a plastic surgeon, and I'm stuck living with my family. I make $10.25/hour which would be decent but, I live in California so, that's just laughable. I'm not happy with where I am at in life.

I love to tinker around with computers. I built my own and work on other people's computers aswell. Not much money is made this way but its fun and relaxing for me. Because of my love for video gaming, I took basic C++ and Java classes at my community college. I'm good at it but outside of the classes I had no use for it and I'm not good enough at it to slap it on a resume. I did enjoy it tho.

My question is what kind of jobs lay out there for someone like me? What kind of Certs do I need? Do they pay well? (Can I make enough to take care of my family) What schools should I be looking towards?

I know I asked alot so, if anyone could answer any of these questions mabey not all but any would be of help.

If you focus really hard on getting a job and career in computers, you'll never become a plastic surgeon. What is your primary goal? If it is to become a plastic surgeon, then everything you do now should get you closer to that goal. You may find it better to become an EMT, Paramedic, or even a nurse first.

Go further with C++ and Java as those are well paid and highly needed languages.
