Good evening,
I am about to order a new pc next week, since my previous rig got damaged beyond repair.
The specs are:
CPU: Intel Core i7 4790
RAM: CRUCIAL BLS2CP8G3D1609DS1S00CEU BALLISTIX SPORT 16GB (2X8GB)
GPU: GIGABYTE GTX760 GV-N760OC-4GD 4GB (will upgrade to a higher-end card in 2 years, waiting for Star Citizen's release to see benchmarks at that time, until then this should be fine).
SSD: ADATA PREMIER PRO SP600 32GB
HDD: WD Velociraptor (leftover from my previous rig).
I have been breaking my head to find a good motherboard for this. I am not interested in overclocking at all, and I don't plan to SLI/XFIRE.
I don't mind the price range, although I would hate a money waste.
As a musician, I already own an external audio interface for recording/mixing, but I would also like the best possible on-board audio available. Recommendations?
Performance is top priority, audio is secondary. If there is a board combining both, that would be great. If not, I might consider buying a PCI audio card separately.
Thank you in advance for the help!
