I have some questions about gaming monitors

Ok so I've done a little research but I still can't decide on a monitor to buy. I am going to buy 2 of which ever monitor I decide on, as I would like a dual monitor setup. Some suggestions for monitors would be appreciated, I would like to spend about $150-$300 per monitor. I haven't bought my computer yet, but have decided on getting a GTX 780, Intel i5 4690k processor, and 8gb of RAM.

1. Would refresh rates higher than 60hz (120hz, 144hz) take more power than these specs can give at 60 fps+?

2. Should I prioritize a higher resolution or a higher refresh rate?

Solution
Dual monitor setups only use one monitor for gaming, the other for multitasking so the monitors do not have to match. I use a Viewsonic 24" 1920x1080p 60Hz with a Dell 19" 1280x1080p 60Hz display.

The second monitor will not hinder your gaming in anyway that you can tell, especially on a GTX 780.

These gaming monitors fall into two crowds for the most part....

Refresh rates higher than 60Hz is what FPS/MOBA/competitive gamers are most interested in and your GTX 780 will deliver High/Ultra settings at 60FPS+ if that is your choice.

Higher resolutions are favored by RPG/MMO/Strategy gamers and your GTX 780 can deliver here also at 1440p very nicely. it might drop under 60 FPS** at this resolution but should be able to handle most...

** I'm not aware of a 1440p display that can produce more than 60FPS, I am sure they will be here soon though.

I'm not too much of a competitive player, so I'll probably go for a higher resolution display.

A couple more questions:

1. IPS or TN? IPS has a better picture while a TN is faster, correct?

2. Say I buy a 1440p monitor and I play BF4 and I want a few more fps, seeing as its a competitive game. Could I lower my resolution in order to hit 60+ fps?
