Is a MSI 970A-G43 (mobo) Compatible with a Radeon R9 270x?

I'm looking for a pretty significant upgrade to my GPU, so I was looking into the Radeon R9 270x. I only have a 7790 as of right now, which is a lower-end card. Everything looks good with the 270x, and it seems to be compatible with my mobo (mobo listed in title). I just need someone to confirm that it is compatible and will actually function.
