Hi Guys, I was wondering if I should build a new computer or just upgrade some components.

Here are my specs:

i5-2400 3.8Ghz
EVGA GTX 570 HD 2.5gb
8gb DDR3 ram
250gb Samsung Evo SSD
Asus P8Z68V-LE Motherboard

Many thanks for any feedback you guys can give.

To be honest the performance leap from that i5 to a more recent i5 wont be all that noticeable in gaming.

You will see the biggest performance increase by upgrading your graphics card, to something like a GTX 770 or R9 280X.

Your system has enough legs to wait for Intel's Skylake(est. 2016), maybe even wait for them to get the kinks out it as well. Then go new.

I'll second Scampi, the 2400 is still a great CPU, you don't need more memory, and you have a solid Motherboard. Throw in a new GPU and rock on....for a few years.

Hey guys really appreciate the answers, I am looking now to upgrade my graphics card.

I cant decide between the GTX 780Ti or the Titan Black, or GTX 780 6gb.

But I will open up a new thread for that.

I was thinking that, but a lot of people are saying that 6gb will be more future proof, I guess I can skip the 780Ti and get the 780 with 6gb.

Unless you plan on running more that two monitors @ 1080p or 1440, the 6Gb card is a waste of money, I have a 780 SLI setup but i run three 24" monitors in surround.
