Upgrading SSD on Laptop

I'd like to get a laptop with an SSD drive, but prices are too high for anything over 128 GB and I think that SSD's are coming down so fast that I might be better off getting a laptop and upgrading later.

Does anyone have any advice on finding a laptop that I can upgrade the SSD in at a later date?

I don't know if I should be looking for ones that have SSD only, or if I might be able to swap out a mechanical HD for SSD, or if I should be looking at SATA or what other structure and I'm having trouble figuring out what I need to look for.

Thanks

Look for a laptop with at least a SATA-3 3Gbps hard drive. Likely anything that has an Intel Core processor will be fine. You can then upgrade that hard drive to a SSD later.

That being said, the current price for a 256GB Crucial MX100 SSD is ~$115 at Newegg, so it's not super high.
