New Laptop for College Student(Engineering)

Hello!

I'll be starting college this fall in will be studying engineering. I was wondering what laptop y'all recommened. My max price is $1200. The two specs I care about the most are RAM and the CPU. I want at least 8gb RAM and a 4th gen i7 intel CPU. I've been looking at brands like Gigabyte, MSI, ASUS, and Lenovo, but am really unsure about which laptop to get. Thanks in advanced!

not really sure what your storage needs are but id consider replacing the HDD with a SSD
