Alright so is it overkill to get a 780Ti if all your running is one 2K monitor. or should I just go for the cheaper 780 6GB EVGA SC version. Please leave reasons for your pick. Thanks!

The memory will help you when adding more screens or adding mods to games yes, but if you're gaming on one 2k monitor the 3GB 780ti is fine. The 780ti performs much smoother than the 780 in any game at any resolution. Do note that the 780 3gb edition rocks every game on 2k as well. Above 35-40 frames. BUT why not the middle man? R9 290? 4gigs of ram and performs on par(faster in some games) with the 780. And it's cheaper.
