Dear Community,
i've troubles since months that the GPU-Usage of my AMD 6950 2GB by XFX on the most Games is below 80-70%. As i know, my older GTX 9800GTX+ was running always with 99% on each Game.
I don't care so much about the GPU-Usage, but when it comes to a scenario InGame with many NPC's and Effects then my GPU-Usage is scaling down and the FPS are dropping below 50Frames/sec.
Most ppl would say that my Core i5 750 @ 3,5Ghz causes a bottleneck, but i've heard tons of different stuffs on German-Forums... so i'm pretty unsure how to fix that issue.
System:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
Intel Core i5 750 @ 4x 3,5Ghz
8 GB DDR3 1600Mhz by G.Skill
ASUS P7P55D Motherboard
AMD Radeon HD 6950 2GB by XFX
Soundblaster Z by CREATiVE
Cooler Master 640W Power Supply
BenQ 24" @ 1920x1080p
What i've done:
Overclocking CPU and GPU - FPS are scaling higher with a lower GPU-Usage...
Tested Old/New/Beta Drivers - no success
Overclocking CPU to 3,8Ghz - just more FPS on CPU-bounded Games (CS:GO, UT3)
Should i buy a GTX 660 FTW from EVGA for 150 Bucks, just to see if this Graphiccard would be also bottlenecked or should i try to get a new Processor+Motherboard?
I've been playing Assassin's Creed 1-2-Brotherhood @ 60FPS with a GTX 9800GTX+, now with the AMD HD 6950 i have huge FPS-Drops even on Assassin's Creed 1 (GPU-Usage under 50%)
i had no solutions on german Forums, so i hope that i can reach here the correct answere/help/support!!!
