i know abit about RAM CPU and Graphics cards but could someone please tell me
is this setup compatible?
what is makes the more expensive motherboard better that the cheaper ones?
what power supply do i need and will the fan be able to cool it?
also i you know what makes a eight core processor better than a quad core?
please remember that im a noob so please make the techie responce dumbed down for me.

First of all, we can't see your selected build. Use a site like www.pcpartpicker.com instead.

The more expensive ones have features that you likely will not use like multiple PCI Express x16 lanes, heavy overclocking capabilities, and loads of sata ports, fan ports, etc.

For a basic gaming build with one CPU and one GPU a good 550W/600W should be more than enough. Depending on what you choose a good 430W could do.

It depends on what you are doing and what brand you choose. Basically all applications can use a certain number of threads to complete their actions. Depending on what you are doing you may/may not be able to use all the threads/cores you have. As an example Video Rendering/Editing will utilize pretty much any number of cores, so in theory a 8-Core CPU will be better than a 4-Core CPU. This is not always the case since it is also dependant on other variable such as Speed (think the number of things that can get done during each cycle and how many cycles occur, not necessarily just the Ghz), the Arcitecture, etc.

Thit is fairly complicated. Just let me know what you want to do and we can help you pick the best product that fits your need and budget.

From what Jay has listed for you are all very good answers for your questions. From the list on the link you posted if it showed up properly that is. I highly suggest a better video card than it has selected a Radeon 280 280X is a good solid card for what you're going to be playing and is good bang for the buck from this months selection here. It also only shows a small amount of memory and recommend 8 GB.

I just took another look at the link and noticed that it does work. Hm, wonder why it didn't work earlier this month. Anyway, I like this build a lot, the only thing I would say is that we have no idea what aftermarket model of GPU you will be getting if any. Along with that I don't really know how reliable the motherboard and PSU are since I just haven't used them. I would advise that you give that a little research before buying the PC.

Edit: What case are you planning to add to the PC? If you are even still on this forum...

The case is at the top far left the cheaper one an Enigma I believe it is and I've had good luck so far with corsair PSU but with that one being a value select I agree that it may need to be upgraded to a 500W or so anyways.
