how to transfer file with permission problem

My old pc with window xp crashed. I tried to copy the files from its drive to another bt i cant read nor transfer the files due to permission problem.

  1. It's because you're trying to read/copy those files on a different user account, so Windows invokes it's privacy protection feature. You are the same person who owned those folders on your old PC, but your "new" Windows doesn't know that, even if you used the same account name.
