Thats odd, I dont get any ads, but I do see a gap under his sig, that really shouldn't be there(edit, I think it should be there). With and without adblock it dosent show up.
I would just use adblockplus and try it then.

I thought I been seeing this most of today in threads but as I said some tims there there some times not i'll look in to that screenshot deal I just don't care for going theough 3ed party sites like imgur and doing accounts with them seemed like I read there eulas and got turned off from doing that..

imagur doesn't require an account. I use it ALL the time. And a logged in user should not see any ads from Toms.
If it is an ad as part of a user sig, that is a whole different issue. And I'm still not seeing it.

I have never seen that. It looks like they are supposed to be related to the threads (Which its not even the board mentioned in his system in the pic)
I think USAF is going to have to take over, because that dosent seem like it should be there.

That's really unusual. I don't think I've seen that style of ad on our site before, and as a logged in registered user with expert badges, you certainly shouldn't be seeing any ads in the forum.

I'll forward this over to the devs for investigation. Might be worthwhile to check stuff on your end in your browser as well, if something related to an extension poked it's way in with a bit of malware. I've had that happen to me recently with a pretty respected extension that started interjecting amazon ads here and there in Chrome.

I get them in the articles that they cover up the graphs of like benchmark results or bring up the page and have to -x- out the ad blocking the whole main page

That sounds like some sort of adware/malware then. If it dosent fit correctly that is usually a big giveaway.

spent the last 2hrs scanning all clean for whats that worth and I'm not one for going to odd sites or downloading as you can tell I did not want to do that imager thing to post the screenshot thst how much I look things over and don't click I agree. but that's still no guarantee something slipped in

Yeah I try to be like you, if a site is even mildly sketchy I typically avoid it. That dosent mean I dont get adware/viruses. Ive had adware from an adobe update.

Though it is says its from google it is still technically adware. If you are using chrome or firefox I highly recommend adblockplus extension. Its trusted, works great, and can block features such as this.

no thanks --- one thing I was thinking about was I was helping a guy here with AMD drivers [14.4] I'm suer you seen a lot of poste on them.. so I went to AMD and downloaded the driver and installed it to see what the deal was everyone was having with them for me at the time was it would crash ie11 on exit with a atidxx32dll error also it showed after I uninstalled then to go back to my old driver it showed this deal http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2198236/amd-snea... have not found that yet but still shows installed and up to date.. now thinking back I wonder if this started with that 14.4 driver it just starting to ''ad'' up

You can try doing a driver wipe and try again.
AMD Gaming Evolved and raptr however should have to effect here. They simple optimize games (If you want) etc. Mine was uninstalled when I uninstalled my drivers to switch to Nvidia. I doubt that is the cause however.

well I guess it don't give you a option for uninstalling it as I posted don't know may risk that malwarebytes thing to see if it finds something --I sure don't want to but I don't have nothing on here that I cant wipe out and do a fresh install of windows just lots of bills updates to wait on

Ok, this should throw a wrench in the machine. I get that same add on OP post... In my phone. It usually has something to do with one of the tags, and so far everyone has been from amazon.

Only thing I can think of is that there were a couple of ISPs that got in trouble a while back for adding ads to pages that passed through their networks. Maybe they're still doing it? @junkeymonkey and Karadjgne, what ISP are you on? If you log on using a different connection (e.g. cellphone hotspot), what do you see?

I see ads in reviews/articles and the homepage, but not anywhere in the forums.

Will be investigating this - hopefully will have an answer for you in a few days.

Update: The ads you are seeing are not intended for registered users, and is a temporary experiment by our development team to streamline and reduce the footprint of ads displayed to the general public. They will be taking steps to remove these from being displayed to you and other registered users. Please bear with - it's a temporary issue and should be resolved in short order. :)

Nice, thanks for the update. It really sucked having those ads, it meant on a phone that the OP post would be 2-3 letters wide, which makes for really interesting reading, however, I'm not Japanese, so I read left to right not top to bottom :D
