I liked Sonny's build for sheer capacity, but went with KalTorak for the RAID-5 capability and much lower cost.

my space saving NAS is actually in my wishlist

i will put it high on the wall using wall bracket shelf
along with my router and stuff

35W for 24/7 and 9TB is more than enough for me

Campaigning helps, especially when the builds are close. You got my vote.

Well in that case!

I have my build for home use, I intend to add 3 more 3TB WD reds as and when I need the extra space, this was the best value motherboard I could find that supported 6X Sata slots. I have an extra 200mm fan on the front with a voltage regulator to limit its noise.

The processor is more than man enough to run the OS, although I have yet to do a RAID 5 rebuild (thankfully).

Cant hear a thing and I sleep in the same room and it only draws 35w when idle.

I use freenas on a tiny usb stick which leaves all the hdd space for storage and run a RAID 5 setup.

I love the thing, it took a lot of research to come up with the build and I would highly recommend it to others.
