Cpu under used??

Hey guys, i recently changed my mobo from a g31m to a g41m- combo and i can see only 50% of the cpu being used everytime and on stress test also. Hence my games are stuttering like hell. I have a e8500 currently.

50% usage equates to 100% of one of the two cores in your processor. Do you have processes that can drive multi-cores?

i have an intel e8500 with 2 cores and no hyper threading. My earlier mobo had equally distributed cpu usage acc to application. Now either the cpu is being not used or my mobo is bad since i am experiencing framedrops in games in which earlier i did not get.
