Need Opinions on Gaming PC BUILD (UNDER $700)

You want 2x4gb RAM, not a single stick. Also, that PSU is not the best unit. I would get an XFX550w unit WAY better unit.

Change the case to an NZXT source 210. WAY more modern and better in every way for the same price.

The 7870 is BETTER than a normal 270. The 7870 is between the 270 and the 270x. Why would he pay MORE for a worse card.

Also the 7870 is NOT outdated at all. The 270x IS THE SAME CHIP as a 7870. SAME EXACT CARD, just slightly overclocked.

ALso, the CX500 unit in your build is NOT recommended as it is pretty low quality.

I was going to say the same thing, im not bothered for paying for the 270x just for a very slight change. I won't be doing any hardcore gaming or anything, and what would be your suggestion to get rid of the CX 500 unit? what should i replace it with?

Also, just a follow up, the reason i have a single stick of 1x8 RAM is my mobo only has 2 slots, and i will be looking to upgrade to 16gbs once when i get some more money. and the only thing about the NXZT case is i would remove the bays because my GPU would not be too long. I heard that this is a pain to do, is that true or not?

to be honest, i don't know... I think im just overestimating the loads on my computer. And worst comes to worst, i buy 2 1x8 sticks for 16gbs... any preference on the RAM company? You see to be rather informed , im a fan of crucial. But your opinion?

Also, i decided to move around my build a little bit, comment on this? http://pcpartpicker.com/user/HierarchyHD/saved/9FmFf7

I wouldn't consider the 7000 series dead at all. I mean its not the newest series on the market, but it is still a monster of a card, and very reliable as well.

Because the 270 is far newer, and will continue to be supported by more titles in the years ahead?

Also, that EVGA has almost 100% reviews, have you owned one? Did it explode violently and catch fire? Do tell.

Any DDR3 RAM you buy uses the same exact chips from ONE factory is Asia. The only difference between brands is the silicon board (which are all the same as well), making any DDR3 RAM teh same as any other DDR3 RAM. The "expert" advice for modern RAM, is get the cheapest stuff you can regardless of company.

This claim about the 270 is false. It is uses the same BIOS as the 7000 cards. ALL They did was change the name and bump the core clock up a bit. It will be no more or less supported than any 7000 card. Plain and simple, the 7870 is and will always be BETTER than the 270(non-x).
