I have an old pavillion laptop that I just took apart and want to replace the parts to improve it. I am new to this so I am very ignorant to a lot of the cans and cannots of laptop replacements. However, I would like to know if you can replace the wifi card and processor with any wifi card and processor with anyone that fits or does the wifi card have to be the same version and does the processor have to be the same AMD Turion 64 X2? I don't mind having the AMD I just know that this is old and want a better one. I included pictures too I hope it helps.

You'll have to contact HP about that, you can't just fit any parts you can get hold of. They have to be compatible of course, but also authorised by HP in the case of the WiFi chip at least, or it won't work. We don't have that information.

Upgrading a laptop to that level is generally a no-go for that very reason (getting parts that will actually work). RAM & hard drive certainly, but anything else forget it.
