Moving storage from one hdd to another

I have a 250GB hdd. I would like to move the storage in that one to a 2TB hdd. How do I accomplish that?

What is your OS? You can use widows to copy data from your old hdd to your new one. it might take a lot of time depending on the size of your data. You can also use data transferring software like fastcopy(http://ipmsg.org/tools/fastcopy.html.en) which can transfer data at high speeds.

What do you mean by 'moving storage'? One time, or actually redirecting the save place for Documents/Music/etc.
