hehe i did call em
i even talked to the manufacturer which said they'd fix it for a price more than i paid for it. talking with newegg, i only got angry with em at the end as it was going no where. even told em what the asus rep told me which was it'd cost like 380+ shipping to fix the over priced mobo.
honestly it's in the past though, a year ago. the charge back was through paypal btw. newegg i think got the last laugh on me as i had to mail my whole order back twice and i think i had to spend close to 90$ shipping that stuff across teh country. im sadly one of those guy's that if i get messed wtih i'll spend more than even what the item cost in winning. got to work on that
So asus screwed you over too, eh? Yeah, they have terrible customer service as well. If neither want's to help you the best you can do is wage a PR war. By this I mean giving the mobo a 1 star review on as many sites as you can, newegg and amazon first. Then go and put a report into the better business burro and other reputation tracking sites about newegg and amazon. I've see this strategy work many times.
I've had a few asus devices over the years and can say 2 things about them. They are cheap(crappy products) and they have terrible customer service. I would recommend that you try amazon out. While they may not have the best return policy, their customer service is great. I just returned a tablet that was DOA(an asus actually). Amazon almost always gives you pre-paid shipping labels to send your stuff back so you end up paying nothing extra. Not to mention, they'll ship a replacement out with 1-day delivery.
