Oculus Rift or Nvidia Shield

Hello everyone!

I'm going to be traveling quite a bit and was looking at the Nvidia Shield. I also would love to experience the Oculus Rift. If I didn't have to wait a few months for the rift then I would buy it in a heart beat but that is just not the case. I've heard that the Nvidia Shield is great for traveling and I can have that in 2 days with prime. What do you think I should do?

They're two totally different devices with two totally different uses - Oculus Rift is basically a VR monitor and won't work without a PC present, where the Shield is an Android-based gaming device and will work without a PC present.

I swear before Facebook bought OR, Oculus were talking about it working with smartphones. I'm just saying.
