Apology for making another gtx780ti vs 290x / 295x2 thread
I got a 4k monitor the Dell UP2414Q, so I am going to upgrade my gpu (EVGA GTX770 SC 2GB).
I have read pretty much over 20 reviews between these three but with different dates and cooler setup.
My rig right now:
i7-4790k, Asus z97 Deluxe, Gskill sniper 2400mhz, EVGA SuperNOVA G2 1000W
I will very likely to setup a custom loop to watercool my CPU+GPU(both)
Can someone give me your opinion on how you would choose between SLI/CF these 3 cards?
And what manufacturer, model?
Personally looking into MSI 290X Lightning, but doesn't know whether it be kinda waste to replace the fan.

If going custom loop, its best to get a reference design card since it will be more universal for water blocks.
There are some waterblocks for specific models of gpu.
EKWB is an example which will provide many non-reference waterblocks.

I suggest having a look at the waterblocks as well.

Thank you for the reply.
I actually like EK very much. The hold-up to me is I read something about reference cards won't OC as good as Lightning/ROG/Classified those top end model. For me, waterblocks are not the priority at this point since these cards have been out for awhile that there should be fair amount of waterblocks available.
