Asus Z97-A or Gigabyte Z97x Gaming 7 motherboard for gaming and durability?

I want a motherboard that will give me good durability and will be ideal for gaming. I'm a student therefore I don't have much money to spend and build a PC every year or two so I need a motherboard which won't upset after a few year of use. I will be overclocking but not hardcore, probably to 4.0 or 4.2 ghz.

So I need a suggestion on which one to get. The Asus Z97-A or Gigabyte Z97x Gaming 7? Please tell me the pros of cons of each. Thanks in advance

Feature-wise they seem about the same.
Just about personal brand preference it will be Asus z97, as I am using asus boards for a long time and love their reliability.
but few of my friends are using Gig z97x, which too is great. Just a bit over-sized. Either way you won't be wrong with any of them.
