I was looking for sites that sell digital (downloadable) movies and TV shows at normal (cheap) prices. I have found these three. But, some people told me that they are illegal, simple because the prices are not blown up.

http://www.movieberry.com/movies-online/
http://www.moviery.com/
http://www.mediasack.com/?aff=1239&saff=1

Can someone tell me whether these three sites are legal or not? Only answer if you know this for a fact.

More about : sites legal

While they may not be illegal, they are certainly questionable. Like the old saying, "if it seems to good to be true, then it probably is."
There is no telling what you are downloading until you get it downloaded; it may be some form of malware that can take over your computer.

You pays your money and you takes your chances.

They are selling "real" movies. You pay and you download a real copy of a movie, without malware. But I don't know whether those movies are pirated or legal. That is what I am asking.

In order to sell movies online the company needs a contract with the movie producer companies. If you see every kind of new movie then its most likely illegal for them to be doing it. Now is it "legal" for your to buy it from them if you do not know if it is pirated or not? Now this is a question beyond my knowledge. I would personally never go for an untrusted site when dealing with your personal money, there is a good chance they can take your information and sell it to other that will then take your money etc or give you malware.
Always go with a trusted site even if it means you paying more money in the long.
Best to be safe then sorry

I mean, they accept PayPal. They can't steal my information with PayPal. I am not concerned about that. Just assume that everything is OK (no malware, no scams, and so on), but the only concern is whether those movies are pirated or not. That is what I am interested to find out.

movieberry looks like it may be illegal. read this http://www.pogo.net.au/2011/02/pirate-movies-landmark-c...

moviery does not have many sites with reviews on it which makes it very questionable. however, i did not see anything which immediately pointed towards illegal off the bat.

mediasack also doesnt have many sites with reviews on it which makes it quetionable. again, i didnt see anything immediately pointing towards illegal.

i would look for all the telltell signs that its not legal such as being based in a foreign country, not providing any contact information, not having any press release or advertising, etcetera.

we are not affiiliated with these websites and hold no legal standing to tell you a solid "yes" or "no" on whether or not they are illegal or legal options

they look questionable and that is the best that we can really tell you.

As I said, if you don't know this for a fact then don't reply to this thread.

Do you know any sites that are legal but that do not rip people off? And I don't mean streaming or renting, I mean buying in digital form.
10 or more dollars for a movie (HD) may be "nothing" for american multi-thousand dollar salaries, but in my country salaries are around 450 dollars a month (in my profession).

If all you are looking for is a definite "yes" or "no" answer, you won't get it here, all we can do is offer opinions, and you are still in the same boat even if someone gives a definite answer, as why should you trust them any more than you do the website in question? :ange:
