Hello,

I am looking to upgrade as I have started noticing some slow down (mainly in World Of Tanks, Diablo 3 etc) and considering my current CPU/MB/RAM are 4 years old at least and i am on a tight budget ($600) i want to make sure i upgrade wisely. Current specs below:

I7 860 lynnfield @2.8GHz, 4gb ram, Geforce 660ti superclocked (2gb). The video card is a year old, and is the newest peice of hardware in my computer.

I was all set to order a new I5-4690k @3.5GHz, new MB, 8gb of new ram, and another 660ti to run them in SLI mode. All this was within my $600 budget, albeit barely.

Ive had a few people tell me to just spend almost the whole 600 on a new video card, the other stuff doesnt matter. Is there any truth to that? What would you guys recommend on my budget?

Finances are very tight now, so I cant afford to spend unwisely. Thanks in advance for any advice/info!

I would reccommend the CPU/mobo/ram upgrade:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($210.00 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Team Vulcan 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($71.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $351.98
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

but I would reccommend buying the 660Ti second hand, they are going for about 110$ less than what they are going for brand new! :
