will monitor affect fps

high i am planing on buying a really good gaming pc build ( http://pcpartpicker.com/p/xF44YJ ) and i dont have enough money to buy a hd monitor so until christmas i am going to be using the monitor i have which is a viewsonic VG1930wm and i am wondering will it affect my fps or anything in that nature......

but it'll still be crisp and clear image when at native resolution thou, not blurry like 1440*900 res would be on a 1080p monitor. The impact on image quality is quite minimal imo... And the way games deal with different resolutions vary between games, in some strategy games for example you can see more of the 'map' with higher resolutions etc

Yes both suggested monitors have HDMI and VGA, the BenQ one also has DVI. Basically nomatter what your graphics card outputs, either monitor will work fine. If your GPU only outputs DVI and you get the ASUS monitor, you can buy a DVI to HDMI cable adapter for a few bucks.
