So I'm planning to build my first PC which will be used for gaming and I have around £1000 to spend on it (purely hardware so excluding monitors, OS, speakers etc.).

I have had a go at trying to pick parts, but as it's my first time with anything like this I am looking for any advice or straight up modification for the better to the choices I have made. Thanks in advance.

+1 although I'd go with the R9 290x rather than the GTX 780Ti. In my opinion, the extra money isn't worth the small performance boost.

R9 290x's Tend to get pretty hot, some times up to 95 degrees C. I prefer a less hot NVidia system also the r9 290x is about 50 pound less than the 780ti also it's the most powerful single gpu, therefore more powerful if you sli
