Hi All,
Firstly i would like to say that i am a complete novice when it comes to overclocking and looking for some advice/reassurance/help.
Currently running a 6350 on a Gigabyte GA-78LMT -USB3 and cooled with a Noctua NH-U12S - http://gyazo.com/2332998fb143d95d18a6d78c7d311940 - and wanted to try having a go at my first ever overclock.
i know the MB isnt really anygood for over clocking so i didnt want to alter the voltage or push the overclock too high and just left it as is in the Bios. the only thing that i have changed is i have turned off the boost and used the muliplyer to take it to 4.2ghz.
i have ran prime95 for an hour with no errors and wanted to check the temps it is running at to get a seccond opinion
Temps - http://gyazo.com/6f9f07d46ceaf6cd2f1b0f81420e8c89 - they held pretty much steady through out the test at lease levels. Are they ok?
Idle Temps - http://gyazo.com/8a9d4fe89814085d88ac09a6b73d8799.
Also in Core temp Freq #0 keeps fluctuating between 4.2 and 1.4ghz - http://gyazo.com/8e74920b85f73facbac9f9738e13cccb - Is this normal?
i originally tried to take it to 4.4 and then 4.3 using just the muliplier but Worker#4 stopped within a few mins of Prime95 running so that is how i have ended up at 4.2ghz.
is there anything else i would need to do to keep it running at 4.2 or will the mutiplier be enough?
Also if i wanted to take it up to 4.4ghz what would i need to do?
ANy help would be greatly appreciated as i have said, im a complete beginner but we all have to start somewhere smile.gif
