2 hot pixel amd 2 dead pixel, return the monitor?

Hi I just bought asus vn279q and it has 2 hot pixels and 2 dead pixels as soon as I opened it, is it subject to warranty by asus? should i return it?

depends on how close they are together. some retailers wont accept them as faulty if there more than 2 inches apart. if thats the case then contact asus directly. asus are currently on a PR run so its likely they will replace it at no cost to you.

Hi thanks for the reply, I would like to update this,
*2 bright pixels next to one another in a distance of 0.19685 inch ( 0.5 cms)
*one dead pixel with the distance of 1.5748 inch (4cms from the leftmost bright pixel)
*one dead pixel in the center of the close to top in a distance of 1.9685 inch (5 cms from the rightmost bright pixel)
*one dead pixel in the lower corner of the screen
*one dead pixel in the left corner of the screen
it is a shame, they have to accept this right?

you have 4 dead pixels you should qualify for an rma... contact the retailer first, if you get no joy, contact asus directly as i said earlier.
