So after sitting on the fence for some time, I've finally decided to take the plunge to make my first PC gaming build. These are the parts I've selected so far. I'm about to go ahead and purchase them but before I do, I would love to get some feedback from the community.

Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro (without the window, don't really care about looking at the innards of the PC, so I'll save myself $10 lol)
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING 7 ATX LGA1150
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 (CML8GX3M2A1600C9)
HDD: Western Digital BLACK SERIES 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X 3GB WINDFORCE
PSU: EVGA Supernova 750w G2 80+ Gold

All the components seems to be very good for gaming.. A good PSU selection you made :)

Only things I'd change are the SSD: get a Crucial MX100 instead, the PSU: you don't need that high of a wattage - just get a Seasonic 620W, and the RAM: swap to this kit: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f32133c9d8gx...

Seasonic and EVGA were my main choices as a PSU. It came down to pricing and discounts. I live in Canada, so all PC parts are more expensive. The Seasonic didn't have any discounts or rebates. With discounts and rebates factored in, the EVGA 750w came out to be $90. Too good to pass up lol.

I'm concerned about that RAM kit as Noctua D-15 is quite big and it does occupy some of the DIMM slots when I put it in dual fan mode. Went with the Corsair RAM as it was low profile RAM which would easily accommodate the Noctua D-15. If you think there is a better low-profile RAM kit than the Corsair Vengeance, I'm open to that as well. :)

Oh, is Crucial MX100 better than the 840 EVO? I'm seeing a 128GB version of this SSD and the price is cheaper as well. If this is indeed better, I'll switch out the EVO for the Crucial MX100.

Thanks, I've been doing a ton of research. EVGA & Seasonic were my top 2 choices.

The MX100 performs the same as the 840 Evo but is considerably cheaper.

I believe the NH-D15 is compatible with pretty tall RAM, but I'll double check that for you.

Thanks. While I have a monitor, I am planning on getting a new monitor. I was thinking of the Asus VG248QE. What do you think?

I wouldn't recommend you pair a 144 Hz monitor with a 280X.

I'd say just get a 1080p, 60 Hz, IPS monitor with a response time of 5ms or lower. I don't know much about monitors, though.

Both were good choices.. In India, EVGA PSU's are not popular as such Seasonics were.. Happy gaming..
