Performance issues on GTX 780 SC

Hi, I have this problem where I cannot get smooth performance in any game unless I severely overclock my CPU and GPU. It seems to help the most if I OC the CPU. But when I overclock them they always make the PC crash after a certain amount of time. I have a GTX 780 SC ACX, Intel Core i5 4670K with Hyper 212 Evo cooler, Corsair CX600M PSU, 8GB ram, 3 case fans and Windows 7 64 bit.

You really shouldn't need to OC that system. That is a powerful setup.

What mobo do you have? Are you using the latest chipset drivers? Are you using the latest Nvidia drivers?

I have a Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H using the latest BIOS F10b. I am using the latest drivers.
