Can I overclock and how easy/difficult would it be?

This would be my first time overclocking my CPU, so I'm not sure if my hardware will be sufficient enough to do so at a reasonable level (4.3ghz).

My parts are as follows:

MOBO: ASRock 970 Extreme3

CPU: AMD FX-6300 @ 3.5Ghz w/ Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo HSF & Arctic MX-2 Thermal Compound

GPU: GIGABYTE Radeon HD 7850 1GB

PSU: Corsair CX600 (80Plus Bronze)

RAM: Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) in Dual-Channel mode.

STORAGE: 1x Corsair MX100 512GB (main) & 1x WD Green 512GB 7200rpm (storage)

OS: Windows 7 x64 Home Premium

This also happens to be my first PC build so any critique is welcome. I'm trying to learn more about everything. I've read that ASUS motherboards are very good compared to my board. Would it be worth buying a new motherboard, or is it fine? Also, I had to take the PSU apart because a screw fell in. Not sure what that has to do with overclocking (sorry for OT), but as long as everything is put back together correctly, everything should work as it did before (minus the warranty >.>)? Anyways the only problem I've had with this board is the Etron USB 3.0. I get a BSOD when I try to hook my Corsair K65 into 3 of 4 USB 3.0 ports. I pretty much avoid them alltogether because the keyboard works just fine on 2.0.

Thanks for any feedback and/or help!

fx is easy. Adjust the mult for the freq in the bios and add volts, never go over 1.5v and try to stay below 60c at load well 65C is ok but i like 60c max you should be about to get 4.4ghz at around 1.44v-1.48v
