I built a mid range gaming PC back in winter '09. It's a 1st gen core I5 750 @ 2.66. 4 gigs of ram. a 750gb samsung hard drive, amd radeon 6850 video card, cooler master GX 650 watt PSU, the motherboard is a gigabyte P55-UD3R. It's not in bad condition, allthough the case is crap it's a rosewill conqueror and the front headphone and mic inputs don't work. How much I could I realistically ask for this?

I'd say that's generous considering the PSU is a time bomb. I'd say $200 would be the max especialy where it looks like the case and PSU need to be replaced.

Techie's estimate looks about right - the tech is old enough and there are enough problems with the parts (case, PSU), that I don't think I'd advise anyone who is looking for a second-hand budget rig to go much about $250 or so.

Yeah, right around $200 is what I was thinking. However I am curious why is the PSU a ticking time bomb. Just curious. :p

The old Cooler Master GX PSUs are just terrible PSUs. They've improved them considerably in the GX II lines, but given that you built it nearly 5 years ago, it's an original GX in there. And one that's been used for 5 years.
